We are so happy to announce that we will be hosting our school August 20-22, with our optional pre-day Pressing Pretties class on Thursday, 8/19, and our Stay and Sew Day on Monday, 8/23. We have a few spots left, and hope you can join us for a nice relaxing weekend of sewing fun. It will be held in Columbia, IL, which is right outside of St. Louis, MO. The school fee includes the class, kit, lodging, and meals. You have the option of a single or double room. Our dress and jacket is designed specifically to debut at our school (on hold from 2020).
We will be making a lovely Princess line dress with a full skirt and a ribbon waistband,
topped of with a jacket that has a peplum, ruffles, and fun rick rack finishes!
In our Pressing Pretties Pre-Day class, we will be making a wool and cotton pressing mat with Liberty of London trim, an emery, a silk organza pressing cloth with a pin stitched hem, a zippered storage bag, and directions to make a mini seam roll and ham.
This sewing weekend is one of our favorites – it has a nice, relaxing atmosphere, you don’t have to drive anywhere (classroom and sleeping accommodations are in the same building), and the classroom is always open. Night owls and early birds are welcome to work at your leisure!
If you are interested or want more information, please contact me here and I will send more class and registration information.
I hope you are doing well, and hope to see you all soon, either here, at the SAGA Convention in September, or wherever I may be teaching!
I have a couple of tutorials in the works, and will be posting my fall Virtual Class schedule in the next few weeks.
